 Codrut Birsan began studyng the piano at the High
School of Music in Brasov, which he entered at the age of 6. At the age of 14 he won first prize in the Romanian National Competition. Codrut attended the
Conservatory of Music of Brasov, where he studied piano with Professor Vlad Dimulescu for 2 years. Since 1994 he has studied singing at the Conservatory of
Music in Brasov with Professor Gheorghe Rosu. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Bucharest while studying with Professor Georgeta Stoleriu. He
was invited as a soloist to join several opera companies including Brasov,Constanta in Bucharest and he performed numerous recitals in Romania, Spain,
Germany, Japan, and Hungary. He also served as an accompanist with Opera Brasov. As soloist he recorded 2 CDs with the National Choir
and Orchestra of Romania. He was invited and received a scholarship to travel to Germany to perform for the Summer Institute of Music Academy of Musik
Karlsruhe, and Summer Opera Institute "Basoti" where he sang the role of Idomeneo by Mozart and Hoffman by Offenbach, and for the Cluj National Opera, Cenerentolla
by Rossini, and the Secret Marriage by Cimarosa.
