Equally at home on both the operatic and concert stage, Joseph Wright has appeared with the Sacramento
Philharmonic, Winchester Orchestra (San Jose), Camerata Orchestra (Carmel), and twice with the Silicon Valley Symphony. His repertoire includes Schubert’s
Mass in G and Magnificat, Bach's Magnificat, Requiem Mass by Fauré, Brahms, and Duruflé as well as Händels Messiah. Mr. Wright has been awarded top prizes in
vocal performance competitions sponsored by the San José Opera Guild and Mu Phi Epsilon, and is a recipient of the McCann Fellowship. Joseph is under contract
with Opera San Jose and is a member of the resident company. He performs the roles of Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), Scarpia (Tosca), Escamillo (Carmen), and the
title role in Der fliegende Holländer in the 2004 - 2005 season. He currently is performing the role of Don Giovanni.
