Alma De Lon, a student of Professor Sylvia
Anderson, was born in Washington DC. USA. She moved at a very early age to Europe with her family. She grew up in Munich, Germany, where she studied voice at the Richard Strauss Konservatorium. After
receiving a scholarship from the Georgian Culture Minister, she studied voice at the Tbilisi State Conservatory. Her Masters in Music Degree she received form the University of Maryland, School of
Music. Alma De Lon, who graduated with honors, receiving a Post Graduate Diploma in May 2005 from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, won the Concerto Competition and will be performing next
season Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder with the orchestra of the Conservatory.
Alma De Lon is the recipient of the Bayerische Buehnen Verband Scholarship and the
Bayerische Singschul’ Scholarship (Bayerisches National Theater, Munich, Germany).
Alma De Lon has sung numerous roles such as Venus in Wagner’s Tannhaueser and
Leonore in Beethoven’s Fidelio in connection with The Municipal Theater of Heidelberg, Germany.
At BASOTI 2005, Alma De Lon performed scenes from Verdi’s Forzza Del Destino,
Wagner’s Lohengrin, Puccini’s Tosca and Beethoven’s Fidelio.
