Come to see and hear just how much you  thrill to the virtuosity of  15-year-old violin prodigy, Stephen Waarts!  Stephen, now attending the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia studying with the renowned Aaron Rosand, returns to the SVS in his 5th appearance playing the romantic Sibelius Violin Concerto.  Stephen will be playing on a famous Stradivarius violin (see below).  In his previous 4 appearances, Stephen played the Tchaikovsky (age 12), Brahms (age 13), and Mendelssohn (age 14), and Saint-Saëns (age 15) violin concertos.   You can hear and see his previous performances on YouTube on our website.

Stephen will be playing a famous Stradivarius violin.  This magnificent instrument is known as the twin to the Lord Wilmottte Strad, once owned and played by Yehudi Menuhin.

The Stradivarius violin made available courtesy Peter Prier Violins, Salt Lake City and Robert Maltz Violins, Palo Alto.  Thank you!
