stephen_flyerart_300wWe feature young Stephen Waarts, prodigy violinist, for the third time, playing the beautiful Violin Concerto in E minor by Felix Mendelssohn. This concerto is his last large orchestral work. It forms an important part of the violin repertoire and is one of the most popular and most frequently performed violin concertos of all time.  The orchestra also performs L’Italiana in Algeri Overture by Rossini,  Tallis Fantasia by Vaughan Williams and the Classical Symphony by Prokofiev, considered to be one of the first neoclassical compositions.
